A historic snapshot of Burkes bar, situated at 120 E Main St, Westville, IL. Local miners, fresh from a demanding day at the coal mines, convene for some respite and camaraderie. This iconic venue has seen various owners over the years, including a notable stint as Freddy’s Tipple, owned by Freddy Seripians. Interestingly, the Seripians' family home stood adjacent to this establishment. Today, this building serves as a WBSD office, but its storied past as a gathering place remains etched in its walls.
